Legends in the Making: A’ja and Jackie Put on a Show in Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (July 12, 2025) The Aces needed every bucket, every board, and every ounce of fight to hold off the Golden State Valkyries Saturday afternoon and they got just that from their biggest stars.
Final Score: Aces 104, Valkyries 102
Back in the lineup after missing the last game with a wrist injury, A’ja Wilson wasted no time reminding everyone why she’s her. She dropped a season high 34 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, handed out 4 assists, and didn’t turn the ball over once elite level impact. And with 1 steal tonight, Wilson officially became the fastest (244 games) and youngest (28 years, 338 days) player in WNBA history to reach 5,000 points, 2,000 rebounds, 500 assists, 400 blocks, and 300 steals. Legendary status.
Wilson also now has 10 career games with 25+ points and 10+ rebounds with zero turnovers the most in league history. No one else is close. (Lauren Jackson and Breanna Stewart are tied for second with 6 apiece.)
But A’ja wasn’t the only one making history.

Jackie Young delivered a clutch 30 point performance on 9-of-14 shooting, going 11 for 11 at the line, and continued her incredible stretch of play. And she just passed 3,000 career points, hitting the milestone during the Liberty game earlier this week. She’s in a zone right now and the Aces are rolling because of it.
Jewell Loyd added 15 points with three made triples, while Dana Evans reached 1,000 career points off the bench.
