Records Fall and Leaders Rise in AU Pro Hoops

The Nashville Municipal Auditorium was buzzing this past Wednesday as Week 3 of the Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season kicked off with a double header of high stakes drama. From last second heroics to historic free throw perfection, yesterday’s games completely reshuffled the leaderboard.

Game 1: Glow Outlasts Rhythm in Two Point Nail Biter (80-78)

In the opening act, Team Glow extended their win streak to five games, but they had to sweat until the final buzzer to do it.

The Hero: Forward Natasha Mack made her debut as a captain in style. She drained a clutch jumper with just 5.5 seconds remaining to secure the win. Mack was a force on the glass all night, hauling in a season high 17 rebounds to go with her 14 points.

Career Day: Guard Jaylyn Sherrod earned MVP 1 honors by dropping a career high 15 points and dishing out 6 assists.

The Heartbreak: Despite a season high 18 points from captain Rebekah Gardner, Team Rhythm remains winless at 0-7. Kaitlyn Chen had a chance to tie it at the buzzer, but her layup just wouldn’t fall.
